Canvas Art

So it has been quite sometime i wrote anything after my initial break through at writing.
After this long dull phase here i am with my new found love for paintings. Well i have always been an artistic kid if i may say so.Was always inclined towards all things creative and had a thing for painting since school days. But never did i ever pick up a canvas and made efforts to actually paint something in the proper sense of a painting.
Recently my creative side got hold of me and i picked up my brushes and oil paints and started work on my very own work of art.
So with all the paint smothered on my hands and legs and paint brushes tucked over my ear i did feel like an actual artist.
And once i started painting there was no stopping me.I wanted my masterpiece to come to life as soon as possible (well i quite lack in the patience department you see). So there i was sitting at 1 o' clock at night painting away to glory.
So in two straight days there i was all smiles, with my very first oil painting all ready to show off to the rest of the world. And trust me it was a very satisfying feeling.

And now i have promised myself to not stop this new found love for brushstrokes and paints.

                                                                      step 1 : sketch

                                                                                        step 2 : adding colors

step 3 : admire your art piece :)

step 4 : frame it,hang it and let the world watch it

My next painting is already in the making. Coming soon :)

Life of a Designer.

So i have been sitting around for a while now trying to explore this blog page wondering what to write and how to write. Many times i thought to myself that this isnt a great idea for me and maybe i should just give it up and i have been on the verge of clicking that red cross on the upper right corner various times to shut this page and get back to doing something productive. But finally i have gathered some courage and killed all the lazy urges within me and here i am writing my first blog.
For all those who dont know me, I am Sparshi and i am an Architect.
This is my day 1 at blogging.
So i have recently founded my design firm called "THE ART EFFECT". More on the firm will be written in my next blog. Right now i have some other topic to write wandering around in my head.
Being an architect the most frequent question that has been asked to me is 'why did you choose this field?'
Some of the reasons that made me choose and a few other reasons that made me fall in love with this profession are the topic of my blog today. LIFE OF A DESIGNER.

IT'S A LIFESTYLE, NOT A JOB
Well designers tend to think about design all the time, not only in buildings but in small little things surrounding them. Be it the way you gift wrap a present or the way you serve a dish to your guests. For designers there is always a little bit of design hidden in everything.

YOU CAN BE YOUR OWN BOSS
You can be your own firm of one and still be a viable service provider on almost any size project. No bad days at work and no more dealing with horrible boss moods :)

PEOPLE RESPECT ARCHITECTS
Even if they don't really understand what we actually do, there is a perception that architects are ethical and responsible. Maybe that being the reason why many movies these days choose their lead characters to play the role of an Architect.

ARTISTIC FREEDOM AND PERSONAL EXPRESSION
As an Architect you almost always have this freedom to express your creativity and personal style of art in your projects. This provides you with creative satisfaction and keeps you driven towards your work.

THE EUPHORIC RESULTS
Anyone who has ever seen a building they have worked get built knows what i am talking about. Its like your creation taking shape, you can mould it your own way. Architects generally have this sense of ownership on every project they work.

WE CAN POSITIVELY IMPACT PEOPLES LIVES
It is rewarding to develop a personal relationship with your client, particularly when you know that the process will yield a fruitful end product. By understanding the process our clients appreciate the product. By appreciating the product they are acknowledging the role it plays in their life.

BONUS. WE DON'T HAVE TO WEAR FORMAL BORING CLOTHES
We can be as colorfully dressed as we want at work and no one minds it. 'No' to all the boring shirts and pants and the blacks and whites. We can use our creativity to our dressing as well. What else do you want!!!

and yeah of course you do get decently paid as well for what you enjoy doing.
